What makes a deal worth a second look?
Start with the total cost and an exact product match.

1. Match like with like
Compare the same year, set, product configuration and quantity. Hobby, retail, blaster and international editions can contain different products.
2. Add the costs you can see
Include shipping and any known tax before comparing offers. A lower sticker price may stop being attractive once delivery is included.
3. Separate asking from selling
A seller’s asking price tells you what they want. Completed sale evidence, when available and comparable, helps you assess what buyers have actually paid.
4. Know the purpose of the purchase
Buying for your collection and buying to resell are different decisions. If resale is the goal, account for fees, packaging, postage and the chance an item takes time to sell.
5. Give yourself a reason to pass
Decide what would make the offer unsuitable: an unclear condition description, wrong configuration, excessive shipping or simply a product you do not want.
